How is it a surprise to anyone that a “white cop” killed a “black man”? But this question also comes from the mind of a person who was surprised at the amount of non-questioning, conforming, mask wearing masses of people, who literally allowed the world to be shut down over the fear of dying from the flu, without questioning a bigger picture, or honoring the truth that at any given moment we or someone we love might die.
I have to be honest I did not watch the video. I have nothing to gain or offer the collective by watching a 8 minute video of a man being murder, for numerous reasons, the cynic, sarcastic, psychic/psychotic also questions the bigger collective picture. Not even in Hollywood movies does a death scene take 8 minutes, what cop knowing he was being filmed would perform such an action, and why in a world where we have videos of such atrocities, does the mass population still cover their eyes, their ears, and now their mouths about the daily disappearance of children, of the trafficking of humans that has only increased since the abolition of slavery.
Let me pause here, and preface that I stand in the upmost of compassion, sympathy, and respect for all those you have died, gotten sick, been killed, or lost a loved one.
With that being said, where are we going from here?
What did we collectively learn from our planetary pause and temporary time out?
As always, I can only speak from my perspective which is ever changing, constantly evolving, and ever shifting. As is the nature of the Universe. Yet, still I watch the mass flock to the stores that are now opening, standing in line for hours, to buy whatever it is they need, to stand in line to pay, just grateful to be allowed to shop, like a child released from being grounded and now allowed to go out and play. But really, did everything in the store need to be purchased? Apparently it did.
What is it that we truly need? Obviously we are still working on basic human rights, equality. Not abusing power and privilege. We need so much and absolutely nothing at the same time. One of my close friends turned me on to a movie that came out in 1994, S.F.W., maybe you know of what movie I am referencing and maybe not, doesn’t really matter, which ironically enough is half of the point of the movie. So Fucking What/ Everything Matters, same coin different side.
Obviously it is our division that divides us, but why? Is this really the heart of human nature to categorize, compare, prioritize, and conquer everything from nature to each other?
Yet, our essence is Love. Our essence is God. God is Love. God is Light. Two of the few statements in the bible that actually define what God is.
Yet, this essence seems to indoctrinated out of each person to whatever degree society, systems, religion, and cultural customs are able too.
Remember, these are just my thoughts, should for some chance you have found yourself reading these words. Just thoughts, passing through my brain has I work to explain a world that so much seems to be in vain. While other times I just wonder if I am the one that is insane.
